Great analysis - I thought Twitter was going to be a dumpster fire from the beginning, and it hasn't proven me wrong yet. I can see the value of something like it, but it would need to be strongly controlled, but in moderation. That may seem like a contradiction, but wasn't the American government supposed to be just that? A strong inviolable protector of rights with the power and authority to do so, but in very specific and limited areas where people's life, liberty and property were threatened. Otherwise, it was hands off. It didn't turn out that way, but that doesn't mean the model is wrong.
